How to Maintain Inner Peace in a Chaotic World : Mindfulness for Busy Women

In a chaotic world it can be hard to practice mindfulness and maintain your inner peace. With the fast pace and busy world we are living in, it can be difficult to remember to take moments for yourself and switch off.

Mindfulness isn't a luxury it's a necessity, which is why you should be practicing it.

Taking small moments in your daily life to practice mindfulness can do more than you realise. Working this time into your day can be as easy as just focusing on your breathing whilst waiting for your morning coffee to brew or waiting for your evening bath to run.

Start creating more boundaries with your technology and make sure that you're having time without your phone! Put your phone on do not disturb and shut the digital world out for a while and reconnect with yourself and your mind. Even if this means starting your day with no phone, getting ready for the day and enjoying breakfast without a phone.

Build a routine, build a stable routine you can follow daily to help with control and to bring you peace of mind. Make time for morning affirmations and listing your goals for the day before getting ready and starting the day.

Practice gratitude, it's important to remember what you're grateful for and show your appreciation. Start a journal and at the end of each day write what you have felt grateful for that day. Doing this daily, even on the hard day's will help you become more mindful.

Accepting imperfection is a huge part of maintaining your inner peace and becoming more mindful. Being able to understand that not everything is perfect can help bring more peace to your daily life.

Connect with supportive connections, build your relationships with those who bring you joy and peace. The people around you have a bigger affect on your life then you think.

Prioritise rest, not just sleep. Taking breaks throughout your day contributes to your mental and physical rest which is crucial. Having social rest is also important, being able to understand you can't please everyone and stop putting all your energy into those who aren't deserving of it. Finding time for emotional rest and being able to express your feelings is another part of rest. Rest goes beyond just sleeping.

Remind yourself that peace is a practice, not a destination. Take those moments during the day to be more mindful and feel more at peace.
